🌾 Farmer Success Story: Desi Cow, Nature and a Unique Journey of Life-Changing Thinking

🌱 Emotional Beginning

Some farmers do not only manage fields, but they also prepare thinking for the coming generations. In Kathrathal village of Sikar district, Rajasthan, there is one such farmer who did not limit farming only to growing crops. On 100 bigha land, he created such a world where nature, cows, trees, family, knowledge, and the real meaning of life can be seen together.

This story is not only about farming. This is a story of struggle, self-study, desi cow, nature, and that thinking which tries to connect a person with his roots.

1. 👨‍🌾 Introduction of the Farmer

The farmer who prepared this complete model is Kan Singh Nirwan. He says that till today nobody in his family has done any government or private job. Their family has always depended on farming.

He told that his formal education was not very high, but he considered self-study as the biggest knowledge in life. According to him, the biggest source of knowledge is “travelling” and “self-study”. Wherever he goes, he returns with plants, books, and seeds.

He believes that the house where there are no scriptures, literature, and weapons is weaker than a dharamshala.

2. 🌳 A Different World Built on 100 Bigha Land

On this land in Kathrathal village, not only farming is done. There are waterfalls, cows, sheep, goats, rabbits, camels, horses, Nandi, bulls, and hundreds of types of trees and plants.

People who come here feel as if they have not come to a hotel, but among their own family members. An effort has been made here to give a family-like environment.

His wife also has a big contribution in this complete system. She herself milks the cows, cooks food, and stays connected with the family in all the work.

3. ⚡ Difficulties Faced in the Beginning

When they started living in the middle of nature, they had neither water nor electricity. The family lived under three trees. Under one tree the family stayed, under one tree the cows stayed, and under one tree the mare stayed.

At night, work was managed by lighting lamps. Many times there was not even oil to light the lamp. But despite these difficulties, they never accepted defeat.

4. 🏡 Inspiration from Gandhiji and Natural Construction

He told that he was influenced by the thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi. According to Gandhiji’s thinking, material from nearby surroundings should be used in house construction. With this thinking, he used materials from his farm and nearby places for most of the construction work.

The purpose of the cottages and houses built here was not only to make a place to stay, but to give positive energy and the feeling of family.

5. 🧠 Thinking that Connects Nature, Mind and Life

Kan Singh Nirwan believes that disease is not in the body, but in the mind. Therefore, he created such an environment where people can feel mental peace.

He wants to connect people with their roots. According to him, plants change their branches and leaves, but they never change their roots. In the same way, humans should also keep their roots strong.

6. 🌾 Different View Towards Farming

He shared many different thoughts about farming. According to him, a plant takes only moisture from the roots, not water. He believes that plants take most of their nutrition from the environment and nature.

Giving an example, he said that if 100 kg of green grass is dried, then its weight remains only 13 kg. According to him, this proves that most parts of the plant are connected with the environment.

He believes that micro-organisms do the work of providing important elements to the roots, and desi cow dung and cow urine help in protecting and increasing these micro-organisms.

7. 🌿 Support for Mixed Farming

He said that earlier his grandfather and great-grandfather used to do mixed farming. Many types of crops were grown in the same field because every crop has different requirements.

According to him, the advice of growing only one crop is harmful for farming.

8. 💧 Farming Without Fertilizer and Without Pits

He planted such plants in his farm which showed good growth even without pits and without fertilizers. According to him, he only focuses on maintaining moisture.

He said that there are big trees on his farm and moisture always remains in the environment. Because of this, the plants grow well.

9. 🐄 Desi Cow Based Farming

He clearly says that farming and agriculture will become strong only with desi cows. His complete model is based on desi cows.

He explained that now there is no need to add anything separately in his farm. Earthworms increase naturally in the field and water also gets stored inside the soil.

During the rainy season, he leaves more than half of the field empty so that the cows can eat herbs growing there. According to him, this is the reason why his cows remain healthy.

10. 💰 Income and Profit

Kan Singh Nirwan says that his farming is completely based on desi cows and today the condition has become such that there is no need to add anything separately in the field. Earthworms grow naturally in his farm and the soil stores water inside itself.

He told that his cows give calves of good breed and he does not sell one cow for less than one lakh rupees. Every year around 10 to 12 calves are prepared on his farm.

Their milk is given to some close people. He said that his cows eat many types of herbs and because of this their milk has different quality. He told the price of milk as ₹500 per litre.

During the rainy season, he leaves more than half of his farm empty so that the cows can eat the herbs growing there. According to him, because of this reason his cows remain healthy throughout the year and they never need a doctor.

11. 🧱 Houses Made with Cow Dung and Positive Energy

The walls of their complete farmhouse and houses are coated with cow dung. He believes that cow dung gives positive energy and keeps the environment natural.

He told that many people who visit his place feel a different type of peace and relaxation. According to him, cement houses continuously release negative energy, while houses made with cow dung give positive energy.

He also said that even during the Covid time, people continuously came and stayed at his place and normal life continued.

12. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Thinking of Family, Discipline and Working Together

Kan Singh Nirwan believes that a family does not become strong only by living together, but by working together. In his place, every family member remains connected with some work every day.

He told that even if his children live anywhere, when they come here they also have to work. The complete family together manages farming, care of cows, and other responsibilities.

He believes that the tradition of correcting and guiding family members should never end. He considers this as a part of discipline and values.

13. 🏙️ Message for People Living in Cities

He said that people living in cities can also return towards natural living by making small changes in their lives.

Giving an example, he said that people can grind spices by hand instead of machines, can do some work with their own hands, and slowly adopt natural methods in life.

According to him, humans need to reconnect with their roots again and this change can start with small steps.

14. 📢 Lesson for Farmers

Kan Singh Nirwan’s clear message is that farmers should return towards desi cow based farming. He believes that the real strength of farming and agriculture is hidden in desi cows and nature.

He said that farmers who want to learn can come to his place and understand farming and cow rearing. He does not take any fee from farmers who come to learn.

According to him, he does not ask a person’s caste, but asks what knowledge the person has. If someone understands farming and cow rearing, then that person belongs to his community.

🌟 Conclusion

This story is not only the success story of one farmer, but also the story of nature, family, self-study, and desi cow based living.

Kan Singh Nirwan started from difficult situations and prepared such a model which people from across the country and the world come to see and learn from. His life gives the message that if a person stays connected with his roots, understands nature, and moves ahead with hard work, then farming can become not only a business but also a way of living.
